CLUB CONSTITUTION

1. On The Run Aylesbury

The club will be called On The Run Aylesbury and will be affiliated to England

Athletics.

2. Aims and objectives

To offer coaching and structured training.

To encourage competitive opportunities.

To encourage team event participation.

To encourage and provide for recreational runners.

To encourage health and wellbeing.

To promote the club within the local community.

3. Membership

Membership should consist of officers and members of the club.

All members will be subject to the regulations of the constitution and by joining the

club will be deemed to accept these regulations and codes of conduct that the

club has adopted and the policies and rules of England Athletics. The Committee fully

reserves the right to refuse new membership or renewal of existing membership.

4. Membership fees

Membership fees will be set annually by the Committee.

Fees will be paid by annual subscription.

6. Committee

The club will be managed through the Committee.

The Committee will be responsible for adopting new policy, codes of conduct and

rules that affect the organisation of the club.

The Committee will have powers to appoint sub-committees as necessary and

appoint advisers to the Committee as necessary to fulfil its business.

The Committee shall have the power to fill vacancies if they arise and to co-opt

members for particular projects.

The Committee will be responsible for disciplinary hearings of members who

infringe the club rules/regulations/constitution. The Committee will be responsible

for taking any action of suspension or discipline following such hearings.

7. Finance

All club monies will be banked in an account held in the name of the club.

The Treasurer will be responsible for the finances of the club.

A statement of annual accounts is available on request.

8. Feedback & Suggestions

Any suggestions for changes to policy, procedure, training sessions or general

club operations should be made to the Committee for discussion and decision.

9. Discipline, code of conduct and appeals:

We take the comfort and safety of our members very seriously. Inappropriate, rude, disruptive or aggressive behaviour towards other members or leaders, making them feel uncomfortable

will not be tolerated under any circumstances nor will bringing the club into disrepute via social media. All members and leaders should feel comfortable and safe to run with any member of the club. Headphones are not permitted on any of our training runs.

All complaints regarding the behaviour of members should be submitted in writing

to the Secretary (Peter Cairnie via info@ontherun.me.uk)

The Committee will meet to hear complaints within 14 days of a complaint being

lodged. The Committee has the power to take appropriate disciplinary action

including the termination of membership.

The outcome of a disciplinary hearing should be notified in writing to the person

who lodged the complaint and the member against whom the complaint was

made within 14 days of the hearing.

There will be the right of appeal to the Committee following disciplinary action

being announced. The Committee should consider the appeal within 14 days of

the Secretary receiving the appeal.

10. Dissolution

A resolution to dissolve the club can only be passed by the Chair.

In the event of dissolution, any assets of the club that remain will become the

property of a duly nominated organisation.
