ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS!

Here at On The Run we actively seek complete beginners to come and join us.

Rest assured, we are a friendly and welcoming club. Even if you've never owned a pair of running shoes in your life then come along and get stuck in. We are the club for you! 

Please don't think for a moment that you can't start running. Our beginners run/walk sessions are designed specifically for you, or you may prefer the structure of a C25k course (though not necessary). We don't just have one dedicated night for beginners, we adapt ALL our sessions so you can join us on any night of the week to maximise your training. With dedicated run leaders you will never be alone, and will be supported every step of the way.

Many people say they can't run as far as their garden gate. We'll help you run not only to your garden gate, but through it and beyond. All you need to do is turn up, we'll take care of the rest.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Most of all you should wear something comfortable. Ideally, wear a few layers on top ie a t shirt with jacket or long sleeved top that you can remove if you get hot.


Some comfy tracksuit bottoms that won't restrict your movements, a pair of supportive trainers and you're good to go!  In darker winter months we recommend wearing something bright or reflective to keep you safe and visible.


Bring a small bottle of water too so you don't dehydrate.
